Queensland Government Grant Applications close soon for employing businesses and non-employing sole-traders affected by the following Covid-19 lockdowns in Queensland:
- the South-East Queensland lockdown that commenced on 31 July 2021 (11 government areas) or
- the Cairns and Yarrabah lockdown the commenced 8 August 2021 (2 government areas) or
- the closure of the Qld-NSW boarder on the 14 August 2021 (if your business is located in the border business zone – Coolangatta, Currumbin-Tugun, Currumbin Waters, Wallangarra, Goondiwindi and Mungindi Qld)
Grants range from $1,000 to $30,000 and are available for:
- non-employing sole traders – also includes a non-employing business through a company;
- partnership or trust structure where the business owners are the only staff members;
- employing small business/ not for profit organisations (payroll less than $1.3 million);
- employing medium-sized business/not-for-profit organisations (payroll between $1.3 million and $10 million); and
- employing large-sized tourism or hospitality business/ not-for-profit organisations (Payroll more than $10 million)
